The fastest-growing town on the shore. Los Narejos, La Minería and kilometres of promenade, with new build and resale side by side.
Los Alcázares is the fastest-growing town on the shore over the last twenty years, and it shows: 2005 developments sit next to sixties blocks, with golf courses ten minutes away. It's where we see the most international buyers, British and Irish above all, and where we get asked most about communal pools and parking.
Los Narejos, to the north, is the more residential part and has the widest beach. La Minería and the area around the promenade have more amenities within walking distance and more winter life. The price differences between them aren't explained by square metres, and that is half of any viewing conversation.
The 2019 flash floods left a mark on the area's memory and on some ground-floor properties. Nobody here should sell you a ground floor without telling you what level it sits at and what happened on that street. That is information a portal will never give you, and that we have to give, because we're the ones who live here.
The state of the Mar Menor is the other conversation you can't dodge. There have been serious episodes and there are recovery plans under way. We tell you what we know and what we don't, and anyone who asks deserves an answer that isn't a brochure.
